Rwanda Mountain Tea (RMT) Ltd produces some of the best Black CTC teas in Central and Eastern Africa. RMT Black CTC is dark, coppery and is brewed with rich, full -bodied flavors.

RMT offers for sale Black CTC teas from Rubaya Tea Factory which is well known for its colorful cup, and Nyabihu and Kitabi Tea Factories known for their bright infusion. RMT Black CTC are in a variety of grades, namely BP1, PF1, PD and Dust 1 for the primary grades; and Dust, Fngs1, Dust2 and BMF for the secondary grades. The primary grade teas amount to more than 90 % of the total made tea production.

RMT Black CTCs are exported in bulk in multi wall paper sacs of 40 bags containing between 60 and 79 kg each for primary grade tea. The secondary grades category are exported in bulk in polyethylene sacs of 20 bags, containing maximum 75kgs. Mostly these teas are offered for sale at the Mombasa auction market where they regularly fetch some of the best prices.

Besides, RMT also offers sale of Black CTC through direct sales, accounting to 28 % of the annual production. The balance, accounting to 2% of its total annual production is blended and packaged and sold to local and regional markets.
