Green Tea from the tea gardens of Rutsiro in Northwest Rwanda, grown at altitudes between 2,300 and 2,600 m above sea level.

They are spread out over several hills on fertile volcanic organic soil. The climatic conditions consist of monsoon type rains and strong winds. The supply of green leaf is augmented by the yields of local tea farmers.

RMT works closely with the local tea farmers and communities in Rutsiro through a number of CSR Activities. The Cooperatives of smallholder tea farmers are shareholders RMT, benefiting first in the sale of green leaf to RMT’s factories.
