Mata Tea Factory is situated in the Southern Province of Rwanda in Nyaruguru District, at 1,900meters above sea level. The total expanse is 1,136hectares of which 657Ha belongs to the Industrial Block and the Outgrowers’ cooperative COTHENYA that owns 479 hectares.

The Total annual green leaf production of Mata Tea Factory stands at 11.4Million Kgs from both the Industrial blocks and Outgrowers’ plantations translating to 2.9Million Kgs of made tea.

The factory provides a safe professional working environment that has a focus on the well-being of the workers and regularly supports the neighboring tea communities.

Mata Tea Factory holds ISO 22000:2018 and Rainforest Alliance certification
